Staffordshire University teamed up with The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Stoke-On-Trent, Hanley to have students from my class to digitally recreate these genuine WW2 objects. The objects were laser scanned and had many photos taken which was handled by the uni (due to covid) and we were given the raw data to fix up, patch and finish. The project took about 10 weeks in total (due to having other projects at the same time) and the digital recreations are now on display at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. Weirdly, it seems that the showcase is stuck on my helmet, and it was very lucky that it's mine it is stuck on otherwise I wouldn't have seen it myself.
